SUPPORT WHEELS
Rubber vulcanized and metal support wheels manufactured in-house at Tamor support the upper part of tank tracks to maintain appropriate tension of the track chain. The wheel absorbs the energy for a smoother and quieter ride. The wheels are manufactured from forgings, castings and flat metal sheets. Vulcanization is used on wheels that require it.
The Tamor factory manufactures support wheels for military vehicles such as the M-1, M-2, M-9, M-48, M-60, M-88, M-109, M-113, the Merkava (Mark 1, Mark 2, Mark 3 and Mark 4), LVTP7, AMX-113, LEOPARD 1, LEOPARD 2.
