Metal Containers for Transport and Storage
Large, metal storage containers for tank engines and transmissions, manufactured in-house at TAMOR SMR LTD, feature vacuum sealed, hygroscopically controlled units containing an inner frame and rubber shock absorbing pads.
These large, metal containers built to customer (TACOM – USA Army) design and per military specification, required the implementation of Tamor’s in-house rubber vulcanization and metalwork processes and technologies.
Cutting, bending, CNC milling and machining (horizontal, vertical and turning), welding, shot blasting (shot peening), painting and preservation were used to build these massive structures.
Drop Test Performance
Antivibration rubber pads have proven their shock absorbtion resistance when large two ton containers used for the storage and transportation of tank engines were subjected to drop testing from various heights.
