NEW RUBBER ANTIVIBRATION PADS

Tamor S.M.R. has recently developed a new antivibration rubber/metal pad that functions as a joint for fuel tanks in defense vehicles.    The pad sits at the juncture of the body of the military vehicle and the fuel tank.

During firing, a military tank generates 450g acceleration.  Tamor was intrigued to develop a solution for absorbing energy at that particular point in time.  Development of the antivibration pad involved the creation of special rubber compounds, attention to endurance due to environmental exposure to oil and fuel, minimization of dimensions while attaining accurate performance, adhesive strength in the bonding of the rubber and the metal brackets.
